Rising Star Learning Center is a legacy of over three decades in early childhood education, founded on October 29, 1989 by Queen Grimsley. Initially headquartered in the attic of Gospel Tabernacle Church on Richmond Street in The Central Ward of Newark New Jersey, we moved to our current location in 1995.
We are a nonprofit organization committed to provide affordable childcare services to working class families in and around Newark’s South Ward. We take pride in having cultivated and educated young potentials throughout these years who later turn out to be the perfect demonstration of our exceptional services in the form of successful alumni.
Rising Star Learning Center extends a comprehensive suite of child care services for children including full day care for infants and toddlers and after school care for children between the ages of 6 to 13. We understand how difficult it becomes for working parents to manage their schedules and budgets and look after their children or pay for their education.
Our mission at Rising Star Learning Center is to make community oriented early childhood education and care accessible to working families in affordable prices. Our team of professional caregivers and teachers are determined to go above and beyond industry standards to ensure a better holistic development of your child.
